Woodall Family Adoption

Whitney Woodall Nashville, Tennessee

We have always believed that family is a gift from the Lord.

Long before adoption became something we actively pursued, it was something the Lord had written into our hearts. Scripture speaks so clearly about adoption. We ourselves have been adopted into God's family through Christ. This truth has shaped the way we live.

We are not pursuing adoption because our family is lacking. We are pursuing adoption to walk in faithful obedience to God's sovereign design. We have been adopted by grace and we desire to mirror that grace in our own home.

Tommy and I have been entrusted with five beautiful children, and raising them has been one of the greatest joys of our lives.

Adoption is not a small step of obedience. It requires surrender and faith. But we trust the One who calls us is faithful to provide. We know this story is not ultimately about us, but about the Lord weaving redemption into real lives.

As we pursue adoption, we are asking for two things:

First, prayer. Pray for the child who will join our family, for their heart, their story and the Lord's protection over them even now. Pray for the birth mother as this may be the hardest decision of her life. Pray for us as parents, that we would lead with wisdom and steadfast love.

Second, if the Lord leads, financial partnership. Adoption comes with significant costs, and we cannot do this alone. If you feel called to give, know that your generosity is helping bring a child into a forever family.

We believe this child is not an accident. They are known by God. They are loved by God. And we are ready to love them too.
