Our First Adoption:
David and I are forever thankful for the gift of becoming Indy’s parents. Adoption has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. The love we have for her and the story God has written in our family through her adoption is something we treasure deeply. We are still in awe of how He provided for every need and surrounded us with people who prayed for us, encouraged us, and even gave generously to help bring our daughter home.
A New Journey
As we have stepped into life as parents, God has been stirring in our hearts once again the call to adopt. Our love for Indy has only strengthened our conviction that adoption is part of our family’s story, and we sense the Lord leading us to open our home and hearts to another child. This desire isn’t something we take lightly – it comes from prayer, seeking His will, and trusting that He has more to write in the story of our family.
Financial Partnership
With this call comes the practical reality that adoption carries significant financial costs. Just as with Indy’s adoption, we believe God will provide through both personal savings and the generosity and partnership of others who want to join in this story.
We have received a $6,000 matching grant through LifeSong for Orphans. This means that for every dollar donated, we will receive a dollar of grant money up to $6,000.
Your partnership would not only help cover the financial barriers of adoption but would also allow us to continue saying “yes” to the child God has for us. Thank you for considering standing with us—it means more than words can express.

Q: What kind of adoption are you pursuing?
A: A domestic, private (not out of foster care) adoption.
Q: How old will the child be?
A: He or she could be anywhere from 0-12 months old.
Q: Where are you in the process?
A: We just went “active” with our adoption agency. This means that a birthparent (or birthparents) could match with us at any time.
Q: How much will this adoption cost?
A: The total cost will be around $45,000. This price includes agency fees, attorney fees, licensing fees, and physical and emotional care for the birthparents. Of that, we are praying to fundraise $20,000 towards the total cost.
Q: Does it feel soon to be adopting again?
A: It feels very soon! However, we know that timing in adoption is never predictable. Although Indy’s adoption was quick (in the adoption world), this adoption could take longer.
Q: What prayer requests do you have?
A: As beautiful as adoption is, it never happens outside of loss. We would be grateful for your prayers for our future child, that they would know God’s love and security as they join our family, and for their birth parents, that they would experience peace, comfort, and God’s guidance in the midst of such a significant decision. For us, prayers that we would trust God for the finances as well as for the timing of it all.
