We are Brannon and Madelyn DeFore and have been married for over 8 years. Now we are embarking on a heartfelt journey to grow our family through adoption!
Our Story:
About 3 years ago, we received a diagnosis of “unexplainable infertility.” Throughout our infertility journey, we prayed continually for the Lord’s will to be done and for Him to show us our next steps. Adoption was something that we always knew would be a part of our family’s story, but just maybe not in this particular birth order. Every time we started talking and praying about adoption, our hearts were filled with a deep, unexplainable peace (Philippians 4:7). That peace we felt was something we couldn’t explain; it was simply the Lord confirming His plan.
We are excited to be pursuing domestic adoption through Lifeline Children’s Services!

First, we greatly appreciate your prayers. Pray for Baby DeFore, for our baby’s birth mother and birth father, and for us. Our hope is that God would be glorified through this journey!
Second, Adoption is not cheap. We are looking to raise $50,000 to help cover the various expenses associated with the adoption process. Our adoption costs comprise of home study fees, background checks, legal fees, travel expenses, agency fees including counseling and care for the birth mother, and more. We are honored to be awarded a $7,000 matching grant from our church, Johnson Ferry, through Lifesong for Orphans! This means we need to raise $7,000 in order to receive this grant ($7,000 raised = $14,000 total)!

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
