We’ve been in the adoption process for about a year and a half and currently have a commitment letter for a 15-month-old little girl in the Ivory Coast. We’re already parents to two daughters—a 3-year-old and an 8-month-old—and we’re excited to grow our family through international adoption.
This journey has been marked by both joy and challenge. Our first agency lost its credentials, which paused our process for two months and resulted in the loss of over $7,000. Despite the setbacks, we’ve continued to follow the Lord every step of the way, trusting that He is writing a beautiful story for our family and the child He is bringing into our lives.
We’ve prayed, researched, interviewed, and listened to adoption stories before taking this leap of faith. We know this could be a multi-year process, and while we don’t know exactly where we’ll be at the end of 2025, we are committed to taking actionable steps toward bringing our daughter home.
The cost of international adoption can be daunting, but we don’t want fear to keep us from this calling. We believe that if God calls us to it, He will provide through it. We’re applying to grants and scholarships, and we’re grateful for any support we receive. Your support fulfills the call of James 1:27 to care for orphans—it’s not just helping us financially, it’s answering a biblical invitation to be part of something eternal.
