The Great Physician…The Miracle Worker
Many of our family and friends know the story of the struggles into parenthood that we have endured.
You rejoiced with us when we were matched to our beautiful children many years into our journey together and finally became parents to rambunctious and creative little girls more than 7 years ago.
You watched as we grew as parents, and they grew (taller than us, now) from pre-schoolers & kindergarteners to beautiful middle schoolers.
You mourned with us as we were faced with a bold act of love to separate from our child at barely 11 years old as she received treatment for a developmental trauma disorder that was overtaking her mind and actions. A disorder that we were told could not be cured.
But, God.
Not only has The One who made us healed us at home during this separation, but He is working in the most miraculous way with our daughter’s mind, heart and spirit. The incurable is being cured… right now! A powerful testimony is in the making!
It is not without sacrifice that a family takes these steps. It is not without deep consideration and prayer. But, once that decision is made, all other options dissolve, and the only path to go is forward. God has been with us on this journey; each step; each moment.
He provides.
Our decision to seek care from the incredible team that is providing for her in a non-clinical, Christ-centered setting severed any chance at financial aide from the state or county. This has been very difficult at times, but, again, He provides.
Over these last 3 years, many of you have asked how you can help. Make no mistake: your prayers have been heard! Our girl is in healing mode!
And yet, another prayer has been answered, in that, after three long years, we now have a chance for some financial support through Lifesong for Orphans.
We were recently awarded a matching grant opportunity through this program. Every donation received will be put directly into our Lifesong account, and up to $8000 of donations will be matched by the grant! The funds will be used only to pay for our daughter’s care as she continues healing in this program.
