“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalms 41:3).
When we think about the above scripture, it gives us so much hope. Hello, we are the Warricks and we are honored that you are taking the time to consider supporting us as adoptive parents.
For us, our journey to become parents began 10 years ago. Ten years of a winding road, marked by the pain of repeated pregnancy loss, and trials of numerous rounds of unsuccessful medical treatments. Yet, we endured with resilience and determination that comes from unwavering hope. We have fervently prayed for the blessing of a child, trusting in God’s timing and His perfect plan, and as you can imagine His perfect plan was different from our plans.
We started our adoption journey in June 2023 when we faithfully moved forward with an adoption home study. Once we began to actively pursue adoption, we immediately met with God’s favor and grace. We were officially home study approved in September! In October, we signed up with a supportive adoption agency. Then in November, we received news that a beautiful organization called Lifesong for Orphans and a church community outside of Pittsburg would help support us financially. Isn’t it amazing how God works?
Gregory’s Gift at New Community Church in Wexford, PA and Lifesong for Orphans have pledged to match any donations we generously receive from our family and friends up to $8,000. If you choose to walk alongside us on our path to parenthood, your gift toward our adoption is both tax deductible and comes with double the impact. Our adoption, like most others, will cost anywhere from $35 – $40,000, including legal fees, court filings, agency administrative costs and expenses that are needed to sustain the health of the birth mother. Birth mothers often find themselves in difficult situations and these expenses help the expectant mother get the care, support and resources she needs as she goes through the brave path of making an adoption plan for her unborn baby.
We see adoption as an extension of our commitment to our faith, service and love, and a journey to healing. It is an opportunity for us to fulfill our dreams of raising a child in a stable and loving home. Adoption will allow us to receive the joy and blessing of adding a child to our family. We are a family of hope because in spite of the heartache, we know it is not the end of the road and God will fulfill our desire to welcome our first child and heal our broken hearts.
