Support needed for Post-adoption counseling and Therapies

Many people assume that the financial costs of adoption end once the paperwork is signed and the child is home. In reality, for many families, those costs continue long after the initial expenses. Children who join their families through adoption often carry additional needs that require specialized counseling and therapeutic support services that can be both essential and costly, and are not always fully covered by insurance.

It is because of this ongoing need that we are launching a fundraising initiative for one of our children.

This child is a beautiful person, made in the image of God. Our deepest desire is that they would feel whole, grow in strength and confidence, and be better equipped to face the future while making peace with the past. The therapies we are pursuing are an important part of that journey.

We are partnering with Lifesong for Orphans as we raise funds for this need. Through this partnership, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, effectively doubling the impact of your gift.

  • In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
  • Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
  • *3.5% fee for donations given with an American Express card
