Adoption has always been part of our story. When we married, we spoke openly about wanting adoption to shape our family one day. After years of unexplained infertility, it became clear that this was not simply an idea for the future it was the path God was leading us to walk.
Our first adoption journey included both heartbreak and joy. In early 2023, we matched quickly with an expectant mother, only to have the adoption fall through one month before travel. That season tested our faith and steadiness. After time to grieve and seek the Lord again, we stepped forward once more.
Later that year, we received a call that changed our lives: a birth mother had chosen us. Today, our daughter is thriving, and we maintain a meaningful and respectful relationship with her first mother, speaking almost weekly. That relationship has deepened our understanding of adoption as something sacred and lifelong. It is not simply about bringing a child into our home; it is about honoring their story, their first family, and the trust placed in us.
Having walked this road once, our desire to adopt again has only grown. We know the weight, the cost, and the joy of this calling. We move forward with humility, clarity, and love, believing there is another child we are meant to welcome.
