We had the dream of adoption planted in our hearts when we unexpectedly battled infertility when we began to try to have kids. While a medical solution was reached and we were able to have our two wonderful sons we believed adoption was still meant to be part of our family story. When our boys were very little they would pretend they had a baby sister, and we never even shared this adoption dream with them! We felt the tug on our hearts to open our home to a baby girl. The Lord has been leading us every step of the way in this journey. Doors were opened when they needed to be opened and closed when they needed to be closed. We had a long journey of over a year trying to match, we received 28 “no’s” on the way. But God! His ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts! Because of the faithfulness of the Lord we are expecting a baby girl in early September!
