Keeping Sisters Together

Our adoption story is one of God’s goodness, faithfulness, and sovereignty. God, having a clear heart for adoption and children in need, has graciously been weaving us into His plan and we are so thankful to be a part of it. We truly believe the Lord has called us to glorify Him and make His name known in this way.

We officially began our adoption journey in 2022, and in 2024, brought home our daughter, Elsie. We had such incredible support from our friends and family during that process. Over the last year and a half, we have kept in contact with Elsie’s birth mother, having occasional visits and meeting some basic needs.

Recently, Elsie’s birth mother informed us she was pregnant, and was considering placing this child with us as well. While we waited to see how God’s plan would unfold, we continued to pray for the birth mother, and help her in practical ways like driving her to some of her doctors appointments.

On May 8th, Alexa drove Elsie’s birth mother to the hospital to be induced because of pregnancy complications. That evening, a baby girl was born and the birth mother decided she intended to place the child with us.

Since then, we have been in the NICU in Fort Wayne, Indiana, taking care of a little girl who will soon officially be part of our family. Baby girl is doing well, and getting stronger every day.

Our adoption costs are less expensive this time, with us already having an established relationship with the birth mother. In total, we estimate $16,000 to bring her home. Would you consider helping us with the adoption expenses of bringing home this little girl and keeping these two sisters together? Every amount donated (up until $5,000) will be matched because of a generous gift from our church, Harvest Church.

We praise God for the story He has written, and are humbled to be a part of it.

Update: We were discharged from the NICU May 17th! Baby girl is getting stronger every day, and the kids love having her around.
