For the past eight years, my husband and I have been on a long and emotional journey to grow our family. During that time, I experienced six miscarriages, countless doctor and specialist appointments, and worked with ten different physicians across the state. Time and time again, we were told that everything was “fine” and to just keep trying—until we finally received a diagnosis of PCOS.
This journey has taken a significant toll, both physically and emotionally. After years of loss, uncertainty, and fertility treatments, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to allow my body the rest it needs. While that chapter has been painful, our desire to become parents has never wavered. We firmly believe that there is a child meant for our family, and we feel called to pursue adoption as the path to finding them.
Adoption is not a second choice for us—it is a deeply meaningful and intentional decision. We are ready to provide a loving, stable, and supportive home where a child can grow and thrive. We look forward to building a family centered around love, faith, and strong values, and to creating traditions and a sense of belonging for the child we are so eager to welcome.
My husband is a CNC programmer and machinist, and he is one of the most steady and dependable people I know. He is hardworking, funny, and spontaneous, and he brings so much joy and laughter into our home. More importantly, he is a man of God who loves deeply and unconditionally. He makes me feel safe, protected, and supported in every season of life, and I know he will be a strong, loving, and present father.
I currently serve as a City Recorder for a local municipality, where I have the privilege of serving my community daily. This role has strengthened my sense of responsibility, compassion, and commitment to helping others—qualities that I will carry into parenthood. Together, we are committed to creating a home that is stable, nurturing, and full of love.
However, the financial burden of adoption is significant. The total cost through our agency is approximately $40,000. While we have worked hard to save and currently have $5,000 set aside, there remains a substantial gap that we cannot bridge alone. Grant assistance would make a meaningful difference in our ability to complete this process. All funds received would go directly toward agency fees, legal expenses, and other costs associated with placement and adoption.
There are aspects of our journey that we believe are important for the committee to understand. The repeated loss we have experienced has shaped us in profound ways. It has deepened our empathy, strengthened our resilience, and reinforced our commitment to becoming parents. While our path has not been easy, it has prepared us to love a child wholeheartedly and unconditionally.
This grant represents more than financial assistance—it represents hope. It brings us closer to the family we have prayed for and dreamed of for so many years. We are ready to open our hearts and our home, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be considered.
We trust that God has a plan for our family, and we are walking forward in faith, believing He will guide us to the child meant for us. Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for supporting families like ours.
