From Both:

Adopting can be expensive. When a pregnant woman is presented with options for their unplanned pregnancy, a great benefit to them of adopting rather than aborting is provision for their expenses. Everything from prenatal care, legal fees, living expenses, and the birth itself is paid for, relieving the birth mother of intimidating expenses. Much of those expenses are passed on to the adopting parents, which would be us. This becomes an amazing opportunity for our community to come together and have a tangible part in making it possible for the expectant mother to move forward with her difficult and brave decision!

We are extremenly blessed with an initial $8000 MATCHING GRANT from We Care for Orphans Adoption Fund and Lifesong for Orphans. This means that every dollar you give is doubled until we meet that initial grant!

Would you prayerfully consider contributing to what God is calling us to do? Every dollar is going towards the life of our newborn baby!

From Brittany:

In May of 2023, I deeply felt God calling our family to grow by one more baby. In God’s poetic sovereignty, a heart for adoption was birthed through the loss of that pregnancy. When I shared with my husband how God was leading me, I was surprised and encouraged to find that he was feeling the same. I received it as confirmation. Even in the hospital, during one of the darkest moments of my life, God was surrounding us with people and conversations that pointed to adoption.

We took time to grieve and pray. When the time was right, we began to research adoption and felt it was best to hire a consultant through Christian Adoption Consultants. Suddenly, the books we were reading, the movies or shows we watched, and the scriptures that leaped off the page were all adoption related. When God says “yes” in such a clear way, my only heart’s cry is “yes” right back!

During this time, the Lord opened my eyes to begin to truly understand Romans 8:15; “For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’” I am learning from my Heavenly Father about His heart in adopting me into His kingdom. He loves me as His very own daughter and He paid such a high price! I am so honored and excited to follow His example in my own adoption journey.

From Joel:

As a pastor, a large part of my calling to reach the broken and help draw them into a relationship with the Healer, Jesus. I am a co-laborer in Christ to see His Isaiah 61 Mandate accomplished: to proclaim good news to the poor, proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, and to proclaim the good and acceptable year of the Lord.

We already had 3 beautiful children and we were ready to try for one more. We became pregnant and tragically lost the baby at 18 weeks. We both knew that God wanted us to have another child, but Brittany had no desire of ever getting pregnant again because of the trauma. The day we learned of the baby’s passing, we both internalized the idea of possibly adopting, never mentioning it out loud.

I had a dream that same night that I rescued a baby from a family who was drowning. I considered how Moses, whose name means “drawn from the water”, was rescued from the Nile and adopted by Pharoah’s daughter. During this same season, God was connecting our church to a fostering support ministry. Then, a week later, Sound of Hope, a movie about a church adopting over 70 children, came to the theaters and Brittany and I watched it together. Everywhere we looked, God was clearly speaking to us about adopting. We had a vacation scheduled a month after the miscarriage, and that became a God-ordained time for us to receive healing and begin the conversation of adopting for the first time. Every step has been directed by God and we are excited for what He has in store and to hold our new baby in the near future!
