Matt and I are so ecstatic to share with you all that we matched – with TWINS!!
Two Fridays ago, we were told that a couple we were presented to really liked us. The following Monday we got the phone call that we officially matched, and to prepare for a baby within the next two weeks because she was very pregnant (you can imagine how hectic the next couple of days were). However, when she had her first ultrasound with someone from the agency, we found out that she actually wasn’t due last week because she’s pregnant with twins!!
We are so excited to welcome these little ones into our home sometime in the next 10ish weeks. We would appreciate your prayers that everything would go smoothly and that these little ones would remain safe throughout all their coming transitions.
Along with your prayers, we would love if you would consider donating towards this adoption as two children brings the cost up a bit at almost every point. Altogether the adoption will be about $75,000 for both little ones. This price includes agency fees (ferrying the parents around to doctor appointments, getting them vitamins, getting various forms notarized, TPR, etc), housing for the birth mother (they were able to find a great affordable situation!), counseling for the birth mother, ICPC, lawyer fees in both states, court fees, notary fees, etc.)
The first $30k is due May 5th and the remainder upon placement. Between our own endeavors and a generous community of friends and family, we currently have about $40k. So, with all that in mind, we are asking for both your prayers and your financial help.

Hello Everyone!
We are officially “live”! As my dear friend mentioned a few weeks ago, in a way it feels like I’m pregnant because this time is so pregnant with waiting, what-ifs, and preparation. Our home and arms are ready as we wait and pray over the children we are presented with. We could be 48 hours from having a babe in arms, or it could still be a ways away – it is fully in the Lord’s hands and we are resting in the waiting.
Part of being live means that fundraising is kicking into overdrive. Most cases we have seen would require $45-70k within 48 hours of being chosen. You might be wondering why that number is so high (and why it’s a bit higher than when we very first started) – and, well, the answer is inflation. Inflation has hit adoption costs quite hard as it has impacted pretty much every area the money goes towards (from lawyer fees and medical expense to the birth mother’s housing costs).
Between our own endeavors and a few generous friends, we currently have about $15k. So, with all that in mind, we are asking for both your prayers and your financial help. Lifesong and Gregory’s Gift have blessed us with a combined matching grant of $6,500 – which would go a long way in helping us bring a child home. Donating through this site would help us meet that matching grant AND it would be considered to be a charitable donation for tax purposes.
