“Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!”
Psalm 96:3
In 2016, the Lord began stirring our hearts for adoption. The biblical call to care for the vulnerable had always been important to us, and it was becoming clear that the Lord was inviting us to consider opening our home to children in need of a family. Though we did not know when or how that would happen, we shared a unity of Spirit and of mind that if God opened the door we wanted to walk through it in faith and obedience.
Fast forward a decade, and the Lord has been gracious and generous to grow our family through the births of our three biological children. We cherish the gift of being their parents, and count it a great privilege and responsibility to disciple them in the Lord. Yet even as our family has grown, the desire to adopt has never diminished. Instead, it has matured alongside of an increasing burden for the nations and a longing to participate in God’s work beyond our own borders. In His perfect timing, He gave us clarity to pursue international adoption from Taiwan. Because of that perfect timing, we now have the added joy of getting to walk this adoption road alongside of our children. It has already been a blessing watching them eagerly pray for and anticipate the brother or sister God is preparing to add to our family!
The Lord has guided and established each of our steps as we have begun this endeavor. We know that He will continue to be faithful in every detail, and that this work He has started will be brought to completion according to His sovereign will and purposes. In humility and gratitude, we trust that the same God who ordains our steps has also ordained the life of the child He is leading us to. In the grace and love that has been shown to us through the finished work of Christ, we are overjoyed to welcome this child into our family and are prayerful that the Lord has already determined to welcome him or her into His family!
The way to the Father has been paved, and it is through His Son, Jesus Christ! Our greatest prayer is that this Good News, the Gospel, would be magnified and fully on display through every part of our adoption journey. To those who follow along with our story, may they see Christ. To those who partner with us in prayer and/or giving, may they see Christ. To every social worker, judge, government official, and family member we encounter along the way, may they see Christ.
And above all, may the child that is entrusted to our care see Christ and come to know the immeasurable love of the Father who makes strangers His own!

Thank you for taking the time to read a little about our story and our mission! We already feel so supported, encouraged, and affirmed in this work the Lord has prepared for us to walk in!
We have been gifted a matching grant of $10,000 from the Essig Family, founders of the La Via de James Foundation. Because of their incredible generosity, every dollar donated to our adoption will be matched dollar for dollar until the full $10,000 grant has been met, meaning their gift has the potential to turn $10,000 in donations into $20,000 toward our adoption!
More than anything, we earnestly desire your prayers. But if the Lord stirs your heart to partner with us financially, we praise Him for that provision and extend our most sincere gratitude to you for your generosity and kindness!
Thank you for being here, for loving our family, and for waiting upon the Lord with us as we watch His plans unfold!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
