Hi! Thank you so much for viewing our story. God originally placed the calling for adoption on my heart about 5 years ago. Over time I discussed it with JT to see if it was something he could see us doing. The calling continued to become more and more clear in my mind that God wanted us to do this during the year of 2023. JT continued to pray and think about it and felt called as well. We were eagerly ready to start this process in early 2024, but our son was sick and ended up being admitted to the ICU and ultimately diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Our plans and timing shifted when our lives drastically changed from his diagnosis. We continued to pray regarding adoption and honestly were sad we couldn’t go ahead and start the process. During that time we knew we needed to focus on getting our son’s health under control and adjusting to a new norm. Once we felt a bit more stable with our son’s medical condition, we started praying for God to reveal when to start the process. We prayed a lot, dug into the Word, and immersed ourselves in a new church considering we had just moved. We have grown in our church and found a great church home that has led us closer to Jesus. Many times, during worship we would feel the calling placed on our heart and felt confident in our plans to adopt. We didn’t know how we’d financially handle it all while juggling everything. We went to our prayer clinic at church and jumped into the adoption process although we know it’s a road that tests and refines you. We are clinging to God in this process trying to trust in Him and His timing. We are totally relying on Him regarding finances and how this all will take place. We know that He has our baby out there and nothing will thwart His plans.
Thank you for considering donating to our adoption fund. We have been awarded an $8,000 matching grant! We are so thankful to Lifesong for Orphans as well as Josiah’s Adoption Fund! We ask that you keep our family in your prayers through this process as well as expectant families that are making the selfless choice to place their child for adoption.
