The dream of adoption we’ve waiting 16 years to see!

We have dreamed of adopting before we were even married 16 years ago. It is a beautiful opportunity and responsibility. Early in our relationship, we spent a year working in a Filipino orphanage. We got to see firsthand the pain and the joy of two families working together to love a child. It was one of the best times of our lives. We are excited to now be on this journey with our own family. Adoption was always an option for us. It continued to grow when we couldn't conceive for the first 10 years of our marriage. Now we have our son, Phoenix, who lights up our life AND a desire to adopt. So here we are, stepping into the unknown not sure how we will pay for it all. We had a dance party when we heard Lifesong funded a $7,000 matching grant which means every $1 you donate will be doubled up to $7,000!!! Crazy!!

Phoenix will be a wonderful big brother. The first thing he said when we told him about adopting was, "You know when I'm at school, you will have to take care of the baby." He is already looking out for his sibling. And picked out the names "King Leroy or Princess Cupcake". Thank you for supporting our family. We can't wait to share how God works it all out.

  • In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
  • Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
  • *3.5% fee for donations given with an American Express card
