We are so grateful that you would take the time to learn a little more about our story and our journey to adoption.
Our journey to adoption actually began long before we were married. During our dating relationship, we discovered that we both felt called to adoption. We knew, even then, that adoption would somehow be part of our story.
We were married in 2014, and after walking through a 10-year season of infertility, along with Crystal’s journey through cancer, we were incredibly grateful and excited to experience our third pregnancy through IVF. Sadly, we experienced another miscarriage.
After that season, we spent time praying, seeking the Lord, and asking Him for clear direction about whether we should continue pursuing IVF. Through prayer and wise counsel, we both began to feel God gently shifting our hearts toward adoption. The more we prayed and sought His guidance, the more peace we felt that this was the path He was calling us to.
In January 2025, we stepped out in faith and began the adoption process. Since then, we have completed countless hours of paperwork, online courses, interviews, and our home study. Today, we are an active waiting family, preparing to be placed on the “to be matched” list. We are so excited and hopeful for what God has ahead.
As beautiful and exciting as this journey is, adoption also comes with a significant financial commitment. The total cost of our adoption is expected to be approximately $65,000. We have been saving throughout this process and doing everything we can to prepare financially, but we know we cannot do this alone.
We are incredibly thankful to have been awarded two matching grants that will help us reach our fundraising goal. We received a $5,000 matching grant from the Karis Adoption Fund, an Outside the Walls partner supporting lifesong adoptive families, as well as a $2,500 matching grant from Lifesong for Orphans.
Together, these grants total $7,500- and they’re matched dollar for dollar. This means if $50 is donated, another $50 is automatically matched.
Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer in helping us take the next step in our adoption journey. Your support truly makes a difference!
If you feel led to financially support our adoption, we would be deeply grateful. Your generosity helps ease the financial burden of adoption and allows us to focus on preparing our hearts and home for the incredible blessing of welcoming a child into our family.
More than anything, we ask for your prayers. Please pray for our future child, their birth family, our adoption team, and everyone walking alongside us during this season. Pray for God’s perfect timing, guidance, protection, and peace throughout this journey.
