Our Story
Through all the years we’ve walked with the Lord and all the nations we’ve served in, we’ve come to understand God’s heart for adoption. Even before we met each other, we both served all over the world, in varying capacities, with orphans and vulnerable children in seasons of our life when we couldn’t bring them ‘home’. We’ve prayed often and cried for children we know around the world who have experienced things we struggle to imagine.
Many years ago, we each decided that we wanted adoption to be a part of our stories. For as long as we’ve known each other, we have talked about adopting children one day because we know that is something that God had called us to do. And, that ‘one day’ is now, and we are blessed and excited to say ‘yes’ to providing a home and a family to another child.
Where Are We In The Process?
We are officially an “active waiting family”. That means we have passed all of our background checks, interviews, and home inspection and are available to say ‘yes’ at any time to bringing home a little one.

Please pray for us! And for everyone involved in the process. Adoption is such a beautiful picture of redemption and hope, and yet is not without pain and heartbreak. We want to love every person involved in our adoption journey well.
Adoption is shockingly costly – to ensure that everything is done properly, legally, and with integrity. We’ve been given an estimated cost of $65,000, which includes agency fees, legal and attorney costs, medical care for the birth mother, and travel when it’s time. Up to this point, we’ve happily paid everything that has been necessary, but we know moving forward we need help. Please pray about giving and helping us bring home another little one.

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
