Adoption holds a special place in our hearts due to a multitude of reasons. We have had the privilege of witnessing multiple families complete their own adoption stories and now we are ourselves. When asked why we pursed foster care or adoption we often reply that we didn’t. We pursed Jesus and he led us to children who needed families. Through our involvement with youth we felt we had it in our hearts to help love them. We became foster parents in 2024 to our beautiful daughters. We have been humbled to have the the gift of being their forever family. As our adoption finalizes with our daughters, we feel that our family is missing another member to our beautiful chaos. Due to personal reasons we have choosen to not pursue our own biological children, but are once more turning our faith to adoption. We have recently finalized our homestudy with The Center for Youth and Family Solutions to pursue private infant adoption. We are now considered a waiting family! So what does that mean? We are now waiting for the amazing opprotunity for a birth family to select us as parents for their precious baby. While we wait we are tasked with begining to fund this private adoption. We have the amazing opprotunity of recieving a matching grant through LifeSong for Orphans of $4,000. LifeSong strongly believes in helping every child a loving family while easing the financial cost for adopting families. Over 38% of chrisitians have considered adoption, yet only 5% actually have due to financial cost. A bulk of what it cost to fund adoption will be paid for by us through deligent saving. We know however some feel called to support adoption while unable to adopt themselves. We first want to ask for prayers for the birth parents, our daughters, our future baby and our family as we navigate this next chapter of our life.
