Our Adoption Journey – The Christie Family
For as long as we can remember, we have dreamed of becoming parents.
Like many families, we imagined the day we would hold our child for the first time, watch them grow, and raise them in a home filled with love and faith. We prayed for that blessing and trusted that God would one day grow our family.
Our journey, however, has been filled with unexpected heartbreak. Over the years, we experienced several pregnancies that sadly ended in loss. Each one carried hope, prayers, and dreams for the future. And each loss left a deep ache in our hearts.
Those seasons were difficult, but they also strengthened our faith. In the midst of grief and unanswered questions, we continued to seek God’s guidance for our family. Slowly and gently, God began to open our hearts to something beautiful—adoption.
What once felt like an unexpected path began to feel like a calling.
In the Holy Scriptures, we see God’s heart for caring for children and welcoming them into loving families. One verse that has deeply encouraged us is Psalm 68:5-6, which reminds us that our God is a Father to the Fatherless. We believe adoption is one way we can live out that calling.
Our dream is simple: to welcome a child into our home, love them unconditionally, and raise them in a family grounded in faith, hope, and compassion.
Adoption is a beautiful journey, but it also comes with high financial costs. Between agency fees, legal expenses, travel, and other required steps, the total cost can be overwhelming. As we step forward in faith, we are trusting that God will provide the resources needed to bring our future child home.
This is where our community becomes part of the story.

- Pray for our family
Prayer is the greatest gift we could receive. Please pray for the child who will join our family, for peace and guidance throughout the process, and for everyone involved in this journey.
- Give toward our adoption
Your generosity will help us cover the expenses required to complete the adoption. Every contribution—large or small—moves us one step closer to welcoming a child into our home.
We are truly blessed to have partners like Life Song for Orphans who have joined us and generously awarded us a $7,000 matching grant fund.
We truly believe that this child will not only become part of our family but will also be part of a larger story of faith, love, and community.

- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
