Above all, we want to say thank you. Thank you Jesus for giving us the blessing of the most amazing support system throughout this journey. Thank you to all who have supported us through love, prayers, and donations so far! You have blessed us abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine.
Our biggest dream in life is to raise children who love Jesus. We got married in August of 2023 and knew we wanted to have kids right away. We never imagined our journey would look the way it does, but we are learning that God’s plan is better than ours, even when we don’t understand. We have struggled with infertility for almost three years, and we have two babies in heaven. We always felt that adoption would be a part of our story, we just didn’t know when or how. God has held us through every hardship and he has caught every tear shed. He has given us strength when we felt we couldn’t go on. He is showing us more and more each day that He has good plans for us.
About two years into battling infertility and loss, last summer we felt God placing adoption on our hearts individually, and then we came together and discussed how we’d been feeling called. After wrestling with God and our own fleshly agenda and desires, many prayers and tears, we officially began the adoption process in February of 2026.
We are so grateful to be on this journey together, it has grown us to be a stronger couple both in our relationship with God and each other. We are not meant to understand all God has for us, but it has been such a blessing to watch the puzzle pieces of His plans fall into place through our adoption process.
We are currently getting ready to put out our profile for birth mothers to view and after that we will just be awaiting our match! We have completed all paperwork requirements and we are in the home stretch!
Adoption is a wonderful gift but it comes at a large cost. We are so thankful to be working with Lifesong to help us carry the financial burden of this adoption process. We are also so grateful to say that we have been blessed with 8,000 in matching grants from the La Via de James foundation , an “Outside the Walls” partner who has worked with Lifesong to match every dollar donated up to 8k! We would like to emphasize that no donation is too small. Every penny is a blessing and brings us one step closer towards bringing baby Gillespie home! Please note all donations must be made through Lifesong in order to be matched. Lifesong for Orphans is a Nonprofit Organization and giving through them allows your gifts to be tax-deductible. All funds collected through Lifesong will be used for agency fees, marketing fees, contracting fees, prenatal and postnatal care for Birth mom, travel fees, legal fees, home study fees, etc…
We understand not everyone in a financial position to give monetarily, and if that’s you, you still play a crucial part in our story! Please pray for our birth Mom and our future baby, that she would have a healthy and safe pregnancy and delivery. Pray that she would feel God near to her during this difficult journey. Please pray for us as we continue to navigate the journey of adoption and all the high and lows that come along with it. Pray that God would prepare our hearts and our home to receive the wonderful gift of our baby through adoption. Pray that God will continue to provide for us and guide us.
