In June 2024 someone shared a photo with me. “Look at this little girl, she looks just like Charlie”. We prayed HARD because our family was complete. So we started sharing her profile and advocating for her, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her coming home with us. It didn’t take long for us to decide that she looks like the next member of the Braddock Bunch :) And because I’m crazy, why just one? So we are bringing home a little boy too!
Ronnie works as a Home Health Aide and I work as a direct support professional. We both work with developmentally disabled adults and children in their homes. We are NOT wealthy people by any means. But what we lack in dollars we make up for with love. God has brought us to this, and I know he will provide for us to be able to bring our children home.
Receiving this grant would be such a blessing because it would mean getting our children home that much faster! I don’t feel that we are any more deserving than any other family that has decided to take this leap of faith. I trust that God knows our needs and will provide as we prepare to bring these two children into our home.
“Lily” is 7 years old. She has Cornelia De Lange with both respiratory and cardiac comorbidities. She is non verbal, non ambulatory, incontinent of bowel and bladder, is tube fed, has seizures, short stature, and has global cognitive and developmental delays.
“Jesse” is also 7 years old. He is blind, tube fed, has seizures, is incontinent of bowel and bladder, and has arthrogryposis from the chest down. He is non verbal, non ambulatory, and has global cognitive and developmental delays.
They are both perfectly made by God and will be an incredible blessing to our family!
