The Gospel is a beautiful representation of adoption, in that for those who believe have been adopted into the family of God. With this understanding, we are honored that the Lord has called us to “care for orphans” (James 1:27) in the capacity of welcoming another child into our family!
Our heart for adoption started when we were engaged. We discussed our heart to grow our family through adoption one day, and we officially began the adoption journey in 2018.
After having our son in 2016, we pursued domestic adoption in 2018. That, however, turned into more of a foster situation that allowed us to love and care for twin baby girls for 4 months. The girls reunited with family, and we continued to trust the Lord with the size of our family.
After having our second child (a beautiful red-headed little girl) in 2021, we felt the tug to start the adoption process again. This time, we turned to Lifeline Children’s Services for an international adoption through Haiti. We walked through the steps to complete our home study and Dossier, and then began waiting to match with our child(ren). However, when political unrest in Haiti increased, we were encouraged to consider praying about switching to another program. Through prayer and seeking the Lord for wisdom, we moved to the Colombia program in July 2024. We began the process of updating our home study and completing the necessary requirements for a Dossier again, and we can now say that our Dossier is in Colombia!
As we wait for the Lord to unfold His story, we cling to this verse: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
