Alexander Family Adoption – A Story Written by God

Dear Friends and Family,

We are so grateful you’ve taken the time to learn a little about our story, and thank you for your prayers, love, and support.

Our journey to adoption began long before we completed paperwork or met with an adoption agency. After walking through a difficult season of infertility, we spent many months praying and discerning what God was calling us to. While our hearts experienced grief over the family we had imagined, we slowly began to realize that God was gently leading us toward adoption. The more we prayed, the more peace we found. What once felt unexpected became a beautiful calling.

In October 2025, we officially began the adoption process. Since then, we’ve completed countless hours of paperwork, education, interviews, and our home study. Today, we are an active waiting family, eagerly anticipating the day we receive the call that will forever change our lives.

We are adopting an infant from Texas, and while we don’t yet know our child’s story, we pray for them every day. We also pray for their birth mother, knowing she is making one of the most loving and selfless decisions imaginable. We trust that God is already writing a story that will bring our lives together in His perfect timing.

Austin works as a IT Technician at TCU, and I (Caroline) am the owner and artistic director of a ballet studio, where I have the joy of teaching and mentoring young dancers each day. Together, we have built a home filled with faith, laughter, family traditions, and love. We cannot wait to share those gifts with the child God has chosen for us.

As exciting as this journey is, adoption also comes with significant financial costs. The total cost of our adoption is expected to be around $69,000, depending on the circumstances of the match and placement. We have been saving throughout this process and are committed to doing everything we can to prepare financially, but we cannot do it alone.

We are incredibly humbled and thankful to have been awarded two matching grants to help bring our child home. We received a $4,000 matching grant from the Karis Adoption Fund, an Outside the Walls partner supporting Lifesong adoptive families, and a $3,000 matching grant from Lifesong for Orphans. Together, these grants total $7,000, but because they are matching grants, we must first raise that amount before the grant funds are released. Every donation, regardless of size, helps us move one step closer to unlocking these grants and bringing our baby home.

If you feel led to give to our adoption financially, we would be deeply grateful. Every gift helps relieve the financial burden of adoption and allows us to focus on preparing for the incredible blessing of welcoming our child into our family. However, your prayers for our future child, for their birth family, for our adoption team, and for all those walking alongside us during this season of waiting are equally appreciated and welcomed.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for considering being part of it. We truly believe that adoption is a beautiful picture of love, hope, and redemption, and we are so grateful for every person who helps make this journey possible. We can’t wait for the day we finally get to hold our little one in our arms and introduce them to the incredible community that helped bring them home.

With grateful hearts,

Austin & Caroline Alexander
