Hi, we're Drew, Gracie and Auggie Aimone. Gracie and I have been married for 8 years and live in Austin, TX. In 2020, we started down the road of growing our family. After a few years of difficulity we were given the news of infertility. As we grieved this, God began to open our eyes to adoption. Adoption was something that we'd always had a desire to pursue, but we thought that we be after we had biological children. God made it clear to move forward with adoption and in 2023 we got approved by our agency. In early 2024 we were matched with a baby and were so excited. Sadly, we went through what is called a failed adoption. This was incredibly devastating for us, but it was a also something the grew us closer to the Lord. In June of 2024, our son August (Auggie) was born and we got to take him home from the hospital. I can’t begin to describe the joy that we felt in that and we feel so thankful and blessed to be his parents.
Over time, God has grown our hearts for adoption. We’ve been told that adoption is somrthing beautiful that is born out of heart ache and loss. We’ve seen and experience that through our the sacrificie and selfless nature of Auggie’s birthmom. We are forever grateful for how she has gifted us with our son.We are so excited to have another opportunittu to grow our family through adoption. While we’re in the waiting process, we’re praying for our future baby and birthmother.
We’ve graciously been awarded a matching grant by Lifesong for Orphans and also Kingsland Baptist Fund in Katy, TX. The way a matching grant works is that whatever funds we raise from donations, the organizations will match. We have $6000 left to reach our full amount for our adoption cost and legal fees.
