The Best Is Yet to Come: The Jones Adoption Journey

Aaron Jones
Aaron Jones Warsaw, Indiana

Hi! We’re Aaron and Katie, and we’re so glad you’re here!

We have been married for 15 years, and from the very beginning of our marriage, we have dreamed about becoming parents and building a family together. After years of walking through infertility, that dream has never gone away. Over time, God has grown that dream and opened our hearts to adoption, and we are incredibly excited about the family He is building for us!

A little about us—we have served together as senior pastors of a church in Warsaw, Indiana, for the past 11 years, and both of us have been involved in ministry for much longer. A huge part of our lives has been spent serving children, teenagers, and families, and we love the community God has given us.

When we aren’t at church, we love spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to the theater, playing board games, attempting escape rooms, and laughing—a lot. We also have a toy poodle named Macklin who currently believes he is the most important member of our household. We haven’t had the heart to tell him that his position may soon be challenged.

For a long time, we have imagined what it would be like to have a child in our home. We think about celebrating birthdays, reading bedtime stories, watching from the sidelines as they discover the things they love, swimming together in our pool, going to church as a family, and taking walks through our neighborhood. We’re excited about the big milestones, but maybe even more excited about those simple, everyday moments that make a family a family.

More than anything, we want our child to grow up knowing that they are deeply loved, supported, celebrated, and surrounded by a family and community that will always be there for them.

How can you help?

One of the realities of private domestic adoption is that it is expensive. Between agency and placement fees, legal expenses, expectant/birth-parent support, travel, and other costs, the total can reach tens of thousands of dollars.

And this is where we have some really exciting news!

We have been awarded a $7,000 matching grant administered by the Ephesians 3:20 Foundation in Naples, Florida!

That means the first $7,000 donated through this fundraiser can be matched—turning $7,000 into $14,000 toward bringing our child home.

If you would like to be part of our adoption story, there are a few ways you can help. You can give toward our adoption expenses, pray for us and for the expectant mother and child who may someday become part of our story, or share our page with others.

☕ You can also help us by drinking coffee!

We are excited to be partnering with Gobena Coffee for another really fun way to support our adoption.

Because of our matching grant, 100% of your coffee purchase can go toward our adoption!

Here’s how it works: 50% of each coffee purchase goes toward our adoption through Gobena, and the other 50% is covered through our matching grant. That means if you purchase $25 of coffee, it can result in $25 going toward our adoption!

So if you already drink coffee—or know someone who does—you can enjoy some great coffee while helping us bring our child home.

Whether you give $10, $100, buy some coffee, share our story, pray for us, or simply encourage us along the way, please know how grateful we are.

We have waited a long time to become Mom and Dad. There have been some difficult chapters along the way, but through all of them, the hope of becoming parents has remained. We believe God is still writing our story, and we are incredibly excited about this next chapter.

Thank you for loving us, praying for us, supporting us, and being part of the journey.

We can’t wait to see what God does next!

With love,

Aaron & Katie
