Thompsons Adopt

Hi there!

We began the process of domestically adopting a child from within the United States in September of 2023.  Since our marriage in 2018, our dream as a couple has been to grow our family quickly and have lots of little feet pitter-pattering around the house.  But, due to infertility we have not been able to reach this goal in the last five years.

In December of 2022, we found out that we were finally expecting twins after a medicated fertility treatment that we went through.  We were elated, only to find that we had lost them at the end of the first trimester.  What felt like a cruel joke has slowly turned into our testimony of how our God provides, mends, and loves us.  In the summer of 2023, the Lord made it very apparent to us that our next step was adoption.  We prayerfully considered different avenues of adoption which consisted of fostering to adopt, international adoption, private adoption through a lawer, or adoption through consultants.  We decided to pursue adoption through consultants!

We have partnered with Faithful Adoption Consultants! They have connections to multiple adoption agencies that have locations all over the United States.  Our consultants are strong believers in open adoptions, which means birth parents would still have contact with their child through us as the child grows.  This helps the child grow up knowing where they came from, and that they are so very loved.  We also love that our consultants encourage us to partner with the birth family, pray for and show them Jesus, and support the birth mother as much as we can.

On March 29, we got the call that we have been matched with an expecting mother!  The child is due in October of this year!  Now that we are matched, we have a large adoption cost fee that we have to pay at the time of placement, $68,800.  The fee is for the following: legal fees, agency fees, and hospitals costs for birth mother and baby.

We would be honored if you prayerfully considered giving to our adoption fund to help us meet this goal.  We have graciously been awarded $8000 in matching grants from Matthew 6 Foundation Adoption Fund + LifeSong for Orphans.  Which means we are racing to raise that first $8000!

We know that this child has a mighty calling on his life, and what a blessing you are for supporting this cause!
