It’s official, the Potters are going to be a family of six! And there is a great opportunity to partner with us in our adoption that we are excited to announce. We have been awarded a $4,000 matching grant by the College Church Caroline Adoption Fund that will be administered here through Lifesong. That means every dollar you contribute will in effect be doubled!
As we remember all that Jesus has done for us in making us sons and daughters of God, we have counted the cost and entered into this adoption journey eager to show to joy of the gospel and the way God cares for the fatherless. Not because we get to be like Jesus and be the rescuers of a poor child in need, but because we have been rescued at a great cost and given our lives to whatever our Savior would ask us to do.
And we can’t do this alone. Even if we were financially capable, we couldn’t do it alone. We need a team behind us, praying for our family, reminding us of what we’ve been given in Christ, encouraging us through the hard times, celebrating in the good, and yes being generous in their giving. We are reminded of the saying in James 1:27: Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction. Surely, not everyone is called to open up their home to an orphan (though we wish more families would consider this call) but everyone is called to look after orphans where they can. We hope that you will consider how God might be calling you to partner with us as we seek open our family to one of God’s children and give them a forever home.

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
