I already feel like we’re friends! Grab a warm cup of coffee or some hot tea, get cozy, and let’s chat. We are the Napiers. We met at the end of college, dated long distance as we both pursued our “dream” jobs; but even in those days we talked about adoption. Then we got married and moved to Jeremiah’s home state of Michigan. It was a snowy evening when Jeremiah asked the crazy question–where? Where did we hear God calling us to adopt from. After time spent in prayer we both shared our answers (it was the SAME and we had never mentioned this country before to each other!) INDIA. Then I asked, “Do you picture a little boy or girl?” “Little girl!” “Me too!” Still the adoption dream seemed like a someday. Fast forward 5 years, as we walked through infertility, doctors, questions—by then we had moved to Fayetteville, NC and then again to Birmingham, AL. It was here we stumbled across the adoption agency I had always said I wanted to adopt through (Lifeline Children’s Services). And they just happened to be having an India Adoption Webinar! I watched. I cried and took five pages of notes to tell Jeremiah, who was out of town at the time. I expected him to say “Sounds good. Maybe next year we’ll look into that,” because adoption had always been a someday dream. But he said, “Great! Go ahead and set up an interview with them next week.” I did! And after that interview God confirmed in our hearts that it was time to go find our daughter! Out of 20+ million orphans in India, God had our one baby girl. As we started the process, God gave us her name— Hallelujah Joy! (We plan on calling her “Hallee Joy”) Hallelujah is one of those words that is recognized and understood in every language to mean all praise to God! It gave me chills learning this. May 11, 2018 we were matched with our beautiful baby girl (Mother’s Day weekend, it will forever be one of my all time favorite memories)! Friends, we’re totally in love! This adoption journey is long and emotionally draining in every possible way! But Jeremiah and I would not trade it for a second, because God is using this crazy, bumpy road to lead us to our sweet Hallelujah Joy! We are currently in the court process in India and have only a few short steps after court until we TRAVEL to get her!!! And finally bring her HOME!!
This is our last push to finish up and be fully funded! God has blessed us with a matching grant from Lifesong! So every dollar you give is doubled!! If you would pray about being a part of our daughter’s story we would be so grateful! We are doing something fun. Until the pieces run out, we are doing a puzzle fundraiser! We have 250 pieces. Each piece is a minimum of $15 and if you feel lead to purchase a piece then we will write your name on the back of the puzzle piece/or pieces and when it is finished we will frame the puzzle in a double sided frame so we can flip the picture around and see all the people that had a piece in bringing Hallee Joy home! Thank you so much friends!!
