Stephen and Lauren Adopt

Lauren Shreveport, Louisiana

We met in college when Lauren was a freshman and Stephen was a junior. We got to know one another through our fraternity and sorority that were paired together and through our church. Soon after we met, we found a common interest together inside the classroom when we took a Greek language and Biblical studies class together. Let’s just say, it didn’t take long for us to realize we had good chemistry and fell in love!

In December of 2010, we got married in Stephen’s home church. We felt God’s call to ministry and education and started graduate school together in North Carolina. While we were completing our master’s degrees, we began teaching middle and high school in Alabama. After we had finished our degrees, we moved to Louisiana so that we could both teach full-time. We are passionate about teaching at a Classical Christian school where we can share their love of Christ through all disciplines. While we are not able to have children of our own biologically, we truly believe that God has called us to start our family through adoption.

God has placed a little boy named Isaac with us. He is the sweetest boy ever and we love being his parents. We would like to raise 2,000 to help cover some additional cost of the adoption and meet the matching grant from Colonial Heights Baptist Church (Ridgeland, MS) administered by Lifesong for Orphans!

STRIPE charges an online processing fee (2.2% +.30 USD per transaction). Your donations will be decreased by this amount. You may also send a check payable to “Lifesong for Orphans”. In the memo line please write “Beck #7099”, to ensure it is credited to our account. Please mail to Lifesong for Orphans, PO Box 40, Gridley, IL 61744.

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
