Tall Family Adoption

GOD IS SO GOOD!!!

I believe the saying that “God funds what He favors” and we can fully attest to this from our experiences. We are so thankful for the MANY people who sacrificed financially to help us reach this goal. Over a year ago, at the start of this journey, we weren’t sure how things would work out but looking back we can see God’s faithfulness every step of the way. To God’s glory, we never once felt a financial burden and every single time a payment was required we had enough to meet the need. Our final installment is due in 2 days and we now have enough to cover it as well as the expected travel costs for when the baby is born. Thank you, Jesus, and thank you all who have played a part in this miracle. 

Updates: 

We just had a visit with our social worker to update and renew our annual Home Study so everything will be in place when the baby arrives. 

We also have another Zoom call scheduled with Kylee soon, which we are very excited for. Kylee has been battling sickness these last few of weeks so we pray she gets better. Please continue to pray for her health and the health of this baby girl.

Hey all, 

We had an amazing Zoom call this morning with Kylee, the birth mother! It was our first time seeing each other and getting to interact personally. The conversation was great, and we feel it brought comfort to us and also to Kylee. She mentioned we had “sweet spirits” and looked forward to scheduling another meeting soon. This meeting was so encouraging and really brought this adoption to a new level of reality for us! Up until this point, everything about this process has been on paper and in our hearts, but interacting with Kylee really brought it to life! It was such a heartwarming experience that gave us so much hope and joy. This adoption story always was, and will continue to be, a faith journey. Now we have a new level of excitement as well as an understanding of how to direct our prayers going forward. We ask all of you to continue praying for Kylee, her baby girl, and us along this journey. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to keeping you updated along the way!

We have matched with Kylee, a birth mother in Florida, and her baby GIRL is expected to arrive on February 18th! While there are still many unknowns and a long road ahead, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for all the support that has helped us reach this incredible moment. With your encouraging words, sincere prayers, thoughtful donations of baby items, and selfless giving to help cover expenses, we feel that we have been uplifted and carried this entire way. We are so thankful and praise God for surrounding us with such an amazing community of loved ones. Please help us pray for the birth mother in the coming months. May God keep her healthy and safe, and may she feel the love of Christ daily. We’re also praying and trusting that God will continue the work He has begun, ensuring that this baby girl grows healthy and strong. Hey all, 

We wanted to share some great news! We have been awarded $8,000 in matching grants from Karis Adoption Fund + Lifesong for Orphans! Every donation received going forward will be matched (up to $8k) and get us that much closer to our final goal! 

To everyone who supported us for our Garage Sale Fundraiser, THANK YOU!!!! So many of you came out to help us or gave through this site and we were blown away by the response! Through your generosity, we now have enough funds to be able to receive and accept a case, which moves our official adoption status to “ACTIVE.”
We are beyond excited at this huge milestone, and we couldn’t have done it without you all!

We will continue local fundraising efforts as we wait to be matched. Once matched, we will know specific details regarding the case and we’ll be able to update everyone with exact financial goals and timelines. Our journey is just beginning and we are humbled to have so many loved ones walking this out with us!

The Home Study is COMPLETED!! We’re now finished with all the initial paperwork and are cleared to receive future cases!

We are currently working on our profile book! This will be presented to expectant mothers so they can learn more about us.

Fundraising will be a continuous journey, but the response from all of you has been incredible!! It is a great honor to be surrounded by such a supportive community of loved ones. We’ve received some donations personally, so the goal has been adjusted from the original $60k need. We can’t thank you enough!!

We have just finished our 3rd site visit for our Home Study! All other paperwork for now has been completed. The next step in the process will be to submit for background clearances. Once those come through, we anticipate the home study report will be completed in January! This Report will be the official start of our journey and will also allow us to apply for financial grants.

It feels great making progress and we are SO EXCITED!
