In January we finalized our adoption with our first son. At the end of March I got a call from our social worker that our son’s birth mother was pregnant and wanted to know if we would take the baby. It was a baby boy, our son’s brother. We really struggled with the decision but decided the Lord was pushing us in this direction. We told our social worker we would take him. The only problem is that since we just finished our first adoption we had no money saved up. But, we believe that if the Lord called us to this, He will also provide what we need. Our second son will be born in June and we are so excited to welcome him into our family!
God is already providing for us so well through the support of our families and community. We are saving every month toward this adoption as we had planned, but we are also aiming to raise $12,000 to help fund it since it came so suddenly. To that end, we have been awarded a $3500 grant from Gift of Adoption and a $6000 matching grant from Forever Adoption Ministry Adoption Fund, administered by Lifesong for Orphans. Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
