Spires’s Embryo Adoption Journey

Infertility: the diagnosis no one wants, yet plagues so many of us. Then what comes next is the most heartbreaking: “unexplained.” We know sometimes that the Lord our Father cannot always give us an explanation, and as our pastor preached a few Sunday mornings ago, sometimes the answer is “wait.” We have been waiting, and praying, for many years. However, maybe that is not the path God has chosen for us.
However, Wesley and I are going to be turning the page on a new chapter of life. We believe that life begins at conception. And by God's Holy intervention, have been introduced to Snowflakes Embryo Adoption Program: where so many little ones have had parents that have gone through IVF, and upon creating their family, offered the remaining embryos for adoption. Little ones in a chronic cryogenic state, waiting to begin their life. What kind of person will they become? Will they ever be given a chance?
After much prayer, we feel that is our “explained.” We are called to bring an embryo into our home. That this child will be our child. We are blessed to be able to bring life to this child that would otherwise have none. We have long thought on whether to remain private or public, but realize the power in prayer, and we hope that you pray with us during this journey.

  • Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
