We are Jon & Jenn and our home always smells like coffee and something baking in the oven. Breakfast is 100% our favorite meal. Someone is always reading a book out loud or singing and we love to dance together in the kitchen. Being at home in our pajamas, together is our favorite place to be. we have been married for nearly 10 years and look forward to many more together.
After three long adoption processes and bringing our third daughter home through adoption, we thought we were done with adoption and we let our home study expire. We began working with Safe Families and hosting children. Through that, God began to work in our hearts and created in us, unknowingly, a new dream for our family. After three adoptions, a pandemic, and a job change, we were not anticipating pursuing another adoption, however, as we often tell our girls, “plans are plans and plans change.” During Christmastime 2022 while decorating the Christmas tree, we first clearly felt someone was missing from our family, a few months later and here we are in this adoption wait once again.
We were originally led to adopt a child into our family and build our family through adoption only nearly nine years ago after a difficult season of medical diagnoses for Jennifer. Adoption has stretched us emotionally, financially, and spiritually and has helped us to learn to fully lean on our friends and family for support. Our family would not be what it is today without the support and love from each one of you.
We have generously been awarded an $8,000 matching grant from Lifesong for Orphans-every penny we raise will be matched up to $8,000! We cannot complete another adoption on our own. Once again we are fully relying on the support of all of you. Thank you for your kind words, prayers and love.
