We felt called to adoption early in our dating years, after seeing adoption through friends, family and knowing and loving on adoptees who shared their love and heart for what God has done in their life through adoption. We knew that this was a way that we wanted to grow our family in the coming years after we got married. Years of infertility and prayers for Gods wisdom led us to begin our first adoption in 2020.
In 2021 we were placed with our daughter, Ellie Joy. We saw the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness in her life and ours. Ellie is a tangible testimony of God’s faithfulness to his children, that he does everything with purpose and with intentionality and we are honored to be a small part of his kingdom impact in and through our family. We have felt God’s call to adoption once more, to love on and support expectant mothers and their children and families.
We were matched with the sweetest 7lb 10oz little girl, our sweet daughter Josie Grace Rollins, born 10.22.23! We got to meet her a few days after her arrival into the world and then spent the next several weeks in the NICU as she needed just a little more time to get healthy and ready to meet big sister Ellie, her family and her community that loved her so! We were able to finally be discharged and placed with our daughter right before thanksgiving and begin our journey home to the Lowcountry of SC to begin our life as a family of 4.
We know that God has our family in his hands has showed up time and time again and given us more than we could have ever dreamed. Through Ellie’s adoption and now Josie’s we have been able to see more and more of God in the hard, tiring, joyous and crazy moments. We are excited to see God move and work as we continue to raise up funds to cover our adoption expenses and any necessary medical costs that our sweet girl will need in the coming months and years!
