We have prayed about adopting for many years. God said it was time, so we took the leap of faith and went active with a consultant in August 2018. We started presenting to mommy’s and fundraising. We had lots of ups and downs. We were matched in April 2019 with a sweet mommy. We were very nervous because we didn’t have 1/4 of the fees raised yet. On April 3, we had our match call. On April 5, the baby was born!! She wasn’t due until June 18. We were very overwhelmed not knowing what to do! We prayed and God gave us peace that this was our baby and the he would provide the way. We had to ask family and friends to loan us money (something we were not comfortable with at all). God allowed us to borrow the money we needed and get a large loan to pay them back. Our sweet girl was born at 29 weeks gestation, so we had to travel from MS to FL numerous times during the 6 weeks she was in the nicu. It was a very hard and trying time as we have other children at home. When we were discharged from the hospital, we had a problem with our home study and had to leave our preemie in cradle care for the weekend so we could have it redone. It was so emotional and very expensive. Once we got cleared and home, we have been over the moon in love!! Our sweet little girl is such a blessing!! We are still working and fundraising to help pay back all of the debt we now have, but she is so worth it!! We serve a sovereign God that is providing ways to help us!!
