Our Journey to Adoption

Jayme Lohrenz Sioux Falls, South Dakota

We are super excited as we are beginning this amazing adventure into parenthood.  We have seen through the eyes of Beth’s sister and aunt as well as Jayme's older sister and brother how wonderful it can be to bring an adoptive child into our family, as both families have adopted children.  We are praying that as we look for a child to love and you look for a couple to provide a loving and wonderful home for your child, we will be a blessing to each other.
Jayme and Beth met online through the Christian Mingle website.  Beth’s youngest sister decided that Beth was ready to meet people and signed her up.  Jayme saw Beth’s profile and wanted to get to know her.  Our first face-to-face meeting was at Faywick Park in Sioux Falls at the Saturday night movies in the park.  From there we discovered we both loved to be a part of family, so we often hung out at one of Beth’s siblings’ homes or attended the Saturday night movies at the park.  The other thing we found we had in common was a love for Jesus.  Jayme would come and pick me up on Sunday mornings and we would attend church together.  After 3 years of dating, Jayme and Beth were married.  We have been married for four years.
