Purpose of Adoption 

I (Krissy) was adopted from Ukraine at two and a half. I moved to Indiana and grew up in a Christian home as the oldest of five. I was adopted with my brother at the same time. My parents had two daughters and then adopted another son through foster care in America. So adoption has always been in my story and a desire in my heart for a while.  

Daniel came from a family of 8 boys, none of which were adopted, so he always thought he would have a lot of biological children. When he met me and my family he had a desire to adopt as he saw how God worked in my families life.  

We want to raise these kids in a Christian home and point them to His love. We want them to see unconditional love as God works through us to love and raise these kids. To give them a home. To give them a family who can better make care of them. We know there will be lots of challenges ahead but with living overseas we already are reminded constantly to trust God one day at a time and lean on Him in times of transition, hardships, and highlights. 

STRIPE charges an online processing fee (2.2% +.30 USD per transaction)*. Your donations will be decreased by this amount. You may also send a check payable to “Lifesong for Orphans”. In the memo line please write “Hansen 10844”, to ensure it is credited to our account. Please mail to Lifesong for Orphans, PO Box 9, Gridley, IL 61744.

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.

  • In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
  • Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
  • *3.5% fee for donations given with an American Express card
