We are an adoptive family of 5. Our current three children were adopted through the foster care system while we served as foster parents in Mississippi prior to moving to Cochabamba, Bolivia to be full-time missionaries. In 2019, we moved back to the US for our children’s education and for Seth to pursue his masters in clinical psychology. After a few months back, God began to press upon our hearts to pursue adoption again. In December of that year, we were privileged to host a boy from South America through an orphan hosting program for a three and a half week period. During this time we fell in love with 11 year old D. He is a perfect complement to our family, and it seems God has uniquely equipped us to be the family he needs. He has experienced a lot in his life and we pray that God will allow us to be his place of love and refuge as soon as possible. Our home study was completed in early April, and our I-800a was submitted for review shortly after. We are currently waiting on our I-800a approval so that we can submit our dossier to the foreign government. Once our dossier is approved, we will be officially matched to D, and will begin our second phase of immigration approvals for D to come to the US. This approval is known as the article IV and with this we will travel to complete D’s adoption in country before returning home forever with our boy. Please pray for all of us, especially for D, during this process. And, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your support in our adoption.
We want to say a special THANK YOU to Colonial Heights Baptist Church Adoption Fund for their commitment to a MATCHING GRANT of up to $4,000! What a great blessing!
