Thank you for taking the time to read OUR story! We are the Newby family, and God has pieces us together in such a beautiful way! Our journey to international adoption started after the birth of Nathan, our second biological son. Nathan came after years and years of infertility. He has Down Syndrome, which introduced us to a whole new world.
We have since adopted three precious kiddos, who also have Down Syndrome— Nicholas, Elizabeth, and Sophia. Each of these precious babies were placed in an orphanage in Eastern Europe based on their diagnosis and lack of care in their country.
Their birth country is super special to our family, as my Gramma paved the way for us years and years ago, going on short term mission trips to their country. She LOVED the country and the people, and she passed that on to Shannon. She passed away during the beginning of this adoption process and my heart breaks that she won’t meet our last little Newbys.
After completing three adoptions in two years and heading back so soon, our family is beyond thankful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and strangers alike. This adoption journey so far has truly been a series of miracles. So much so that it’s theme is Miracles Move Mountains.
In just a few short days, Shannon and her mom travel to meet the kiddos and officially accept their referrals. In this country, there are no legal holds/matches until you accept their referrals in country. We are praying hard that two precious girls are ready and available to join our family!
We have a $4500 matching grant from a friend of Lifesong that we are working so very hard to meet. With skyrocketing travel and in country costs, our fully funded number has truly been a moving target. With this matching grant, we truly feel we will have the funds needed to complete this adoption and hopefully be FULLY FUNDED. We are so grateful for your support— both financial and prayers!
