Nashholden Adoption Journey

Jonathan Nash
Jonathan Nash Kissimmee, Florida

We began this adoption journey about a year ago when we told all of our friends and family we were considering adoption.  This was after 4 years of fertility struggles.  We were able to get pregnant one time, but lost him at 5 weeks.

The road to our adoption wasn't always an easy road, and at times it really became difficult to continue with the journey.  Where on earth would we find the thousands of dollars it takes to adopt?  Would we be matched?  How does this all work?  There were moments of pure exhaustion!

However, in August of 2018 we were matched with our precious daughter.  We started to see there was a light at the end of the tunnel.  While God's timing was not our timing, it all worked out the way it was supposed to.  Our years of fertility struggles, and hopelessness had turned into our greatest joy when we were able to bring Evaleen home in November of 2018!

There is always a song that reminds us of why this journey had to happen.  He never said you'd always have sunshine.  He never said there'd be no rain.  He only promised a heart full of singing, at the very thing that once brought pain. Bring them all to Jesus.  Shattered dreams, wounded hearts.  Bring them all to Jesus, and he will turn your sorrow into joy!
