It is with great joy that we announce that after much prayer, we have decided to begin pursuing domestic adoption through an organization called Nightlight Christian Adoptions. As many of you know, we have been married over 7 years. For 5 of those years, we have been trying to begin our family. We have been down the road of being tested to see why we cannot have children biologically and the doctors simply cannot tell us why we have been unable to get pregnant. Leslie has tried several different medications and treatments in an attempt to get pregnant. We felt God’s call to become foster parents and welcomed two little boys into our home this past year. This was a wonderful beginning for us, but as we are in our mid-30’s, we desire to get our family started. We believe God has led us to domestic adoption through Nightlight Christian Adoptions.
With that being said, adoptions are expensive. The total cost of our adoption will be well over $30,000 when it is all finished. The honest truth is that this is more money that we could ever be able to provide alone. As we have followed God’s call to church replanting in St Louis, it is an even greater faith journey as Matthew’s salary is provided through financial ministry partners as well. That being said, we have a big God, and we are confident that He will provide in ways we cannot imagine. He has always provided for us, in ways we have not expected, in His own, perfect timing.
In late February 2018, we found out that we have been matched with a newborn set to be born April 25th, 2018. The baby will be in another state far away from our own. We are excited and hopeful that this process continues smoothly.
If you feel so led, we are partnering with the ministry Lifesong For Orphans to help raise the funds required to complete this adoption. We are on the clock now, and need to raise funds quickly. Please let us know if we can answer any questions.
UPDATE: March 7, 2018: We have met our $3500.00 matching grant, and it is shown on our total giving now. We still need support, so we welcome your giving as we enter the final stretch of our funding for our adoption!

Our goal is to have 100% of the necessary funds raised by May 30th, 2018.
We are praying for what may appear to be the impossible, but it is in those prayers that we see the face of Christ. Our God has provided for us over and over again, and we believe he will again. Our hearts’ desire is for God to be glorified through our family’s story of the redemptive beauty of adoption.
Thanks for supporting us!
