Hello and thank you for reading our story!
We began trying to start a family shortly after marriage six years ago. However, we were soon diagnosed with unexplained infertility. What followed were years of tests, treatments and heartache.
We began our adoption journey several years ago and were nearly ready to sign with an agency when Deb discovered she was pregnant. (Naturally, after years of treatments). That pregnancy sadly ended in a miscarriage.
Two years later we became pregnant again with twins through donor embryo donation. The pregnancy was going great and we were over the moon about our boy/girl twins due that summer. Tragically, Deborah was diagnosed with severe atypical preeclampsia at a routine 5-month prenatal appointment. We lost the twins and Deb nearly lost her own life.
After grieving the loss of our babies, we began, once again, to think of adoption. We can’t begin to express the HOPE and JOY the thought of adoption has brought to us. After a six year struggle, we are looking forward to finally being parents through the gift of adoption.
Thank you for considering donating to our cause. The cost of adoption is overwhelming (upwards of $35,000-$40,000) and only made possible by help such as this generous matching grant of $3,500 from Grace Church of Harmony, PA, administered by Lifesong for Orphans and, of course, donations from friends and family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
