We are the Little family and we are excited to grow our family through adoption. High school sweethearts, Brian and Gretchen married after graduating from college and now have six children, ages 7-18. Brian works in the textile industry and Gretchen educates their children at home.
For many years we have felt the desire to open our home to a child in need. During December 2019-January 2020 we were able to host a little boy from Ukraine through an orphan hosting program. He is an affectionate, funny, and curious boy. He loves to play ping-pong, bake cookies, play soccer, pet our dog, and build with Legos and blocks. He made us laugh frequently with his silly antics. We discovered that he fit right in with our family. We all fell in love. Over the past year we have been able to stay in touch. Since that time, he has become available for international adoption and we felt the Lord directing us towards opening our home to him permanently. When asked if he would like to be a part of our family, he said yes! We look forward to bringing our sweet boy home! We know that through adoption the trajectory of his life will radically change. He will move from an institution to a family. He will experience what it is to be wanted and loved. We hope to convey to him not only that we love him, but that Jesus loves him. We look forward to the blessing of another child.
We know God is calling us to open our hearts and home to an orphan from Ukraine. We trust in faith that the Lord will provide all that is needed to fulfill this calling. We are thankful that we have been awarded a $3,000 matching grant from Warren Baptist Church, administered by Lifesong for Orphans!
