Hi! We’re Daniel and Kiersten. You’ll find an overview of our story below, but I wanted to highlight our time-sensitive request for support. We’ve been given the opportunity of a MATCHING grant funded by our church – Common Ground Midtown – and Lifesong. We’re overwhelmed with gratitude, but we need your help! We only have until Levi’s adoption finalization (Nov 14th) to raise money for the matching grant.
We know there is so much community need right now, but if you feel led to support our family – your donation will be matched dollar for dollar up to $6,000. This money will help us cover legal expenses and some of our agency fees (i.e. administrative costs, homestudy expenses, post-placement fees, marketing fees). Thank you for your support. Our Story:
Daniel and I are high school sweethearts. We’ve been together for 13 years and married for 8.5. We adopted our oldest son, Luca, in 2019. He’s been the light of our lives. We’ve spent the last few years in thoughtful, intentional prayer with regard to expanding our family again. In the second half of 2024, it became clear to us that it was time to start the adoption process again. We went active with our agency in February 2025.
Daniel ended up having minor surgery in April and I ended up having a major surgery in May. During my recovery, we were notified that our adoption agency was closing in August. The summer was a roller coaster of emotion as we wondered what that meant for our family.
Then one mid-August day, we got a call. We had a couple hours to arrange care for our oldest, and in an instant-we met and brought baby Levi home. The last few months of being a family of 4 have been the absolute sweetest. Luca and Levi are best buddies so far, and we pray it stays that way.

Lifesong has been blessed with partners who underwrite all U.S. administrative and fundraising costs (TMG Foundation and other partners). That means 100% of your donation will go directly to the adoption.
- In following IRS guidelines, your donation is to Lifesong for Orphans. This organization retains full discretion over its use, but intends to honor the donor’s suggested use.
- Lifesong is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Individual donations of $50 or more and yearly donations totaling $250 or more will receive a tax-deductible receipt. Receipts for donations under $50 will gladly be sent upon request.
