Lawrence Family India Adoption

Amy Lawrence Murfreesboro, Tennessee

When I was three-years-old my biological dad died in a car accident. My mom remarried when I was five. My dad, Gary, fully and completely accepted me and my sister as his own. We gained a father, two brothers, and grandparents who fully 'adopted' us into their family although we didn't share DNA. This started my desire to one day adopt a child. I never imagined we would be adopting a child with medical needs from India of all places. That is the result of giving a desire in my heart to God. God lead us to India where there are more orphans than anywhere in the world, He gave us the courage, and He has sustained us thus far. We are currently waiting to be matched to a little girl, somewhere between the age of 0-5. We plan to name her Ruby.
