The Lord has opened the door for us to adopt a little boy from China. It’s been a long journey for our family, and we’re so thankful for the love and support we’ve received to help sustain us as we’ve waiting on the Lord.
During this season of waiting and praying for him, the Lord gave us a song, “I’ve Always Loved You” by Third Day. The song is written from the Lord’s perspective, and a portion of the lyrics are, “Don’t you know I’ve always loved you, and I always will.” This song has often reflected our prayers that he would know how deeply, unconditionally, and perfectly loved he is by God Almighty and his family. In praying for him, we’ve decided to name him, David, which means “beloved” and is also Josh’s middle name.
Even more than our desire to adopt him, we desire him to know how loved he is by the Lord and for him to know he belongs in our family. We eagerly anticipate meeting David and hope to travel within the next several months to bring David home to his forever family. While we do not know the exact timing and realize our current season is rather full, we continue to trust the Lord’s sovereignty and know that He does all things well and knows the end from the beginning.
In order to bring David home, we need to raise $25,000, which includes legal fees, agency fees, and travel. We are writing to ask if you would prayerfully consider financially supporting us in bringing David home.
