On March 4th 2018 our journey back to China began. It was this day that we saw an advocacy post for Jian and knew this was the son God had chosen for our family. Jian is a 13 year old with special needs that will age out of China’s orphan care system on February 13, 2019. We are starting this journey a little over one year after finalizing our first adoption in China with Tian a 7 year old boy with special needs. These boys grew up in the same orphanage and will be reunited again as part of our family. With adoptions, there are many borders that have to be crossed. There is more than just the physical country border lines. Honestly, these borders may be the easiest of them all to cross in this journey. The borders of emotion, paperwork, waiting between the steps and the biggest border of finances is the more difficult to cross. To help us cross this border we have been awarded a $3500.00 matching grant by Chosen & Dearly Loved Adoption Fund, administered by Lifesong for Orphans. This means that evey dollar raised up to $3500.00 will be matched dollar for dollar. As we begin this journey across all of the borders we trust that the Holy spirit will lead and provide to us everything we need to bring Jian home. Would you please join with us in donateing and praying that the process moves quickly and smoothly and that we can reach our son before he ages out of China’s orphanage care system in February 2019.
