Our family felt an urging (again) just after Thanksgiving. It was unexpected but we knew the feeling. A young boy kept showing up on our emails, being advocated for to find a family. He had recently participated in our agency’s US Camp and he had the opportunity to visit the states.
After prayer, we decided to pursue him and renewed our home study. His file was locked for us in March and our dossier was approved in May. We are now waiting for his match and then on to the backside of immigration. We will be spending 3-4 weeks in Colombia by late summer. We are kindly asking others to partner with us and help with the remaining fees and travel funds. We have been awarded a $3000 matching grant from Small Bridges Adoption Fund, administered by Lifesong for Orphans and we are very thankful for the assistance!!
Our new guy is 11 and will be our 9th child and 3rd youngest. He has some physical special needs like 5 of his soon-to-be siblings. We are excited to welcome him into our family, he will be loved and treasured as the rest.
