Internship in Haiti

Kyla McCartney Hollister, California

Thank you for checking out my story!

Hi there! My name is Kyla McCartney, and I am interning in Bercy, Haiti for two months in the summer of 2018! I am currently finishing up my second year at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California, where I am studying to become an elementary school teacher. As the summer is approaching, I am pursuing the opportunity to be an intern at Lifesong MBO in Haiti where I served on a short-term missions trip in 2015. Since then, I have spent the last three years serving in local communities in California, pursuing a Liberal Studies degree, and most importantly, have grown to know who God is and who He has made me to be.

I believe God has now paved the way, and prepared my heart, soul, mind, and strength to return to Haiti. Once there, I will be serving alongside other interns in various ministry opportunities within the community of Bercy. I am beyond excited and hopeful to see the work of the Lord in this community, and cannot wait to begin doing His good work that He has designed for me to do in Haiti! There are just a couple of steps to take before starting this journey, and I would love for you to be an important part of my internship this summer!

To join me in preparing for going to Haiti this summer, I would love for your intentional prayers and support! Prayer is powerful, and I would love for you to lift up prayers during this time! If it is in your ability to do so, you can also financially support my internship this summer. I am raising funds for room and board, food, transportation, and flight tickets. Any amount is so greatly appreciated, and I am thankful for the time you took to learn about what I will be doing in Haiti this summer.
